Savegre River: Class II and III

This river offers a full-day adventure. Our meeting point is in Dominical. We will transport you from Dominical to Santo Domingo and at this point we will have to change to a 4x4 vehicle that will take us to the heart of the river. Once we get to the river, we will teach you how to use the equipment and will continue with this great adventure. The Savegre River has wonderful places to swim, beautiful waterfalls and a variety of exotic birds that may cross your path. Along the river we will make a stop where you will have lunch and a chance to relax so we can be ready for more action.

Tour time: 8:00 am – 3:00pm.

Guabo River: Class II and III

With one rapid class V. The descent starts on the valley San Juan de Dios and it ends at Dominical beach. This river offers a half-day adventure. The Guabo River has a lot to offer, such as exuberant vegetation, mystical canyons and an exciting descent. During the run of 13 km and nine main rapids, you will have the chance to see waterfalls, wildlife and unique scenery. We will make a stop along the river to enjoy some snacks and take a swim. You will have the opportunity to feel the rush and adrenaline that whitewater rivers offer. Only experts can descend the class V rapid. If you’re not an expert we will portage it.

Tour time: 8:00 am – 2:00pm.

Coto Brus River: Class III and IV

Its best class IV rapids are the Kamikaze, Boruca and the Mambo No. 5. The Coto Brus River is known for its beautiful scenery, the greenness that surrounds it and the diversity of wildlife that you can find on it. Since other boaters are rarely found there, it is a virgin river for rafting. During the run you will have a chance to see white face monkeys, squirrel monkeys, river otters, crocodiles, black-crowned Night Heron and a wide variety of birds among other wildlife. It is simply an unforgettable adventure. Along the river we will make a stop where you will have lunch and have a chance to rest so you can be ready for more action.

Tour time: 6:30 am - 5:00 pm.

Requirements: Ages 12 and over. Participants must have the abilities to walk in slippery or unstable places and paddle.

These tours are available according with rains and water levels.
